DVMATIC’s Back Office Support System (“BOSS�) is designed as the most
efficient system for mass management of machines worldwide. Considering
mostly the retail application, The DVMATIC BOSS system allows owners
and operators alike to remotely manage hundreds and thousands of
machines, all connected to one formidable network via the world wide
web.
Below is a diagram that describes the DVMATIC and BOSS network connectivity:
Inventory Management:
The BOSS system allows an owner or operator of DVMATIC machines to
effectively manage their inventory through a web-based inventory
management system. Titles are labeled by group as opposed to by
machine, allowing an inter connectivity between machines. In other
words, a customer would be able to rent from one machine and return it
to another one instead. This feature is virtually impossible to offer
in conventional video store change due to the complexity of the
inventory system. However, our sophisticated BOSS systems enables us to
offer this great feature to our customers, making it even easier to
rent and return movies.

RFID:
In addition to a sophisticated inventory management system, DVMATIC
machines utilize the latest technology in inventory tracking system
known as RFID tags. RFID tags are essentially sophisticated bar codes
but provide higher reliability and more security. Our RFID's come in
the form of a donut shaped sticker and are placed in the center of the
DVD itself. Without effecting the DVD itself, these RFID tags are the
‘smart’ bar codes that the machines use to track whether a movie is
inside the machine or not. Each RFID tag has a unique encrypted code
which is virtually impossible to copy, making theft and mischief an
extremely hard task to those culprits who try and cheat the system.
RFID tags are only one-time-use items and so once removed from the DVD,
the RFID is destroyed and cannot be placed on a different DVD. This
further protects your inventory from theft.

Reporting:
The BOSS system was designed to support complete access to the
transaction information generated by the machines. It offers
pre-configured reports which are designed to make system-performance
monitoring easy and better assist you in running the business.
Furthermore, the system allows you to generate advanced query based
reports that are customized for your needs. Reports can then be saved
or exported to other applications for further manipulation of the data.
For larger applications, the BOSS my be configure to integrate the data
with your current reporting or management system. Our technical team
would work closely to integrate your IT infrastructure with our BOSS
system so you may keep you existing system and reduce educational costs
and different application usage.

Remote Administration:
In order to most efficiently utilize valuable IT and merchandising
staff, the BOSS system provides you with remote administration
capabilities. Whether an administrator is interested in specifically
modifying or reviewing a single-system database, a group of 10
automated DVD vending machines or the entire group of DVMATIC kiosks,
the database administration can be managed remotely. In fact, the
system allows you to remotely supervise the machines in real time
basis. You will also be able to perform some modifications, malfunction
repairs and self diagnostic, all from the comfort of your computer in
your home or office, by logging onto the our BOSS web site.

Marketing Tools:
ELO Media’s experience in the DVD vending industry has taught us that
marketing is a crucial part of the business. We therefore designed a
system that comes fully stocked with several promotional features that
would allow the owner of our machines to better market and effectively
promote the concept of DVD rental kiosks.
Some of these features are:
Receipts via e-mail:
By collecting your customer’s e-mail addresses, this will enable you to
market directly to them. You will be able to e-mail them free rentals,
promo codes and notify them of the latest new releases coming out.
Promotional codes:
These codes will allow you to target specific customers with promotions
and discounts or globally target all your machines with a global promo
code.
Subscriptions:
ELO has generated several membership type subscriptions that come with
the machine that enables you to build a strong loyal customer base and
further retain that customer base as you develop your business.
